Attractive Brabant

Attractive Brabant

INCREASE ATTRACTIVITY: high standard of living

Developments, innovations and knowledge sharing are becoming faster and easier to realise in urban surroundings, where people in densely populated areas do business, live and recreate. Maintaining its attraction power as an urban area, is therefore, the challenge that lies ahead for BrabantStad.

Strategic top sites

Good spatial quality in Brabant is one of the most important preconditions for the realisation of an economic top region with an associated business climate. This is why we are working on creating urban allure in strategic top sites within each of the cities. This means that we are taking the Railway Zones and City Centres up to a higher level of urbanity. We also preserve the green character of the region and improve it where ever possible, as well as work on strengthening the unique relationships between the towns and countryside in Brabant. By implementing and rolling out innovative e-technologies that contribute to the greening and sustainability of the environment, we can also work on improved environmental quality and enjoy an attractive area in which to live, relax and exercise.

Social and economic

To an attractive business climate, belongs an excellent sporting and cultural climate. However, we are aware that there are always opportunities for improvement. We can increasingly co-ordinate between the cities in Brabant and pay more attention to possible social and economic spin-off effects. We therefore aim to achieve a join-programming of top events, in which we can bolster these spin-off effects. We do that by, on the one hand, selecting events that fit the economic profile of Brabant, whilst on the other hand, organising ‘supplementary events' within events. Finally, to give the events climate an extra boost, we also strive to host events of international renown and quality. Previous efforts can provide us with making a step towards a stronger, more internationally appealing profiling of the events sector, in conjunction with the typical DNA of Brabant.
