Workshop Smart & Green Mobility Solutions @BrabantStad – Now and in the future

A European Week of Regions and Cities side event: 11.10.2017 in Brussels
On Wednesday October 11th 2017 from 11.00h -14.00h BrabantStad organises, with POLIS support, an energetic workshop which focuses on Smart & Green Mobility Solutions. Brabant wants cleaner, economical and better possibilities of transport, both in the field of passenger and freight transport. Innovative, smart mobility solutions are therefore very crucial. Due to developments in the field of ICT, social innovation with its multi helix collaboration, Brabant has become a leader in smart mobility concepts.

With a 90-minute dynamic and interactive program, we intend to outline a number of moonshots in the field of automated & connected driving, cycle innovations, smart logistics, zero emission buses and ‘Mobility as a Service’. Where do we stand in Brabant in these areas in about 10 years? Are we driving by a self-driving car across the A58 from Breda to Helmond? How many zero emission vehicles are driving on the Brabant motorways? Does your bike decide which route is the most convenient? Has Brabant introduced a ‘killer-app’ for Mobility as a Service (MaaS)? How many new smart mobility companies are booming? Will empty trucks be still on the road? Is Brabant known in Europe as 'Region of Smart Mobility'? How do we realise these moonshots? Why do other European regions want to collaborate with Brabant in projects, business development and partnerships?
